This month, the spotlight is on our incredible Growth Marketer, Allira Ferligoj.

Read on to get to know her, her favourite thing about working in a Mum-centric company and the best meal she’s ever had…

1. How long have you been part of the Mumpower family?

Very nearly 1 year in August!  

2. What’s been the most surprising part about working at Mumpower?

The variety of categories and brands we are fortunate enough to work on! We can be working on car seats in the morning, pacifiers at lunch and then hair dryers in the afternoon! Applying our skill sets to different areas and projects allows for so much learning from one area to the other as well. 

3. Describe the culture.

As a small business, culture is so incredibly important and at Mumpower it’s all about collaboration and communication! We are all about striving for impact and that makes it easy to feel valued  

4. What’s been the most interesting project or task you have been exposed to?

I’ve loved working on all the brands I’ve been lucky enough to cross paths with a few now! I think the most interesting projects are the ones a part of a greater partnership with multiple layers of activity – from product review campaigns to market research to influencer marketing. It’s amazing to see the individual projects laddering up to really create impact.  

5. At Mumpower, our ethos and value system is built around nurturing strong relationships with brands, with Influencers, with Mum Shoppers, with each other.  What is your approach to building relationships?

You will only get so far in any relationship if it’s only one-sided. Listen, learn and chat! We are so lucky that we get to work with like minded brands and content creators that also value and appreciate thinking long-term.  

6. Since working at Mumpower which brand/product have you got to know more that you had no idea the impact they make to improving #MumLife?

It’s a new client but layering in my experience as a first-time mum with a very unsettled bub – the all-new BIBS Try It Collection Pacifier pack. I bought SO many pacifiers trying to find ‘the one’. If only this was around 2 years ago! An all stop shop product to easily see which one your bub takes to. 

7. Describe your job in three words.

Exciting, collaborative and customer-driven.

8. Over the course of your career, what is the best advice someone ever gave you?

Always consider who you are talking to – everyone receives and digests information differently! No one size fits all if you want to get the best out of someone or a team.  

9. What’s a motto that drives you? 

Kindness first. 

10. What would people be surprised to know about you?

I’m an avid snowboarder – before COVID & becoming parents, we chased the snow! Keen to get our daughter on the slopes but we have a problem…my husband is a skier…

11. What is your secret talent?

Gift wrapping! I love it. I have rolls of wrapping paper, baskets of ribbon and a big kitchen table! 

12. What is the best meal you’ve ever had?

I have two…the first was eating a traditional gyro sitting on our balcony in Santorini watching the sunset with my husband. The second was a damn good cheese platter and champagne in the French Alps!

13. What is the best thing about working with a Mum-centric company?

Everyone gets it! The ups and downs, the funny parts and the hard parts. To work alongside other mums who are juggling it all at the same time – there is no questioning of why or when – we know we always get it done! The most efficient workforce.
